Empower your team to deliver exceptional results

Are you making these common mistakes?

  • Overhiring and underdeveloping your people

  • Writing off goals because you’ve written off team members

  • Constantly “managing expectations” until your vision and goals become uninspiring or disappear altogether—all because you can’t see past the heaps of work on your plate

What if you’re only using 10% of your team’s talent?

What “impossible” goals have you written off?

Areté, according to the ancient Greeks, is the virtue of living up to one’s full potential.

You’re capable of performing, serving, and leading at a higher level, and so is your team. Tap into their well of limitless potential by practicing the mindset, skills, and framework we teach in

Our participants say:

  • “It sounds great to think about trusting your team to solve problems and to learn from their failures, but it’s another to actually have a way to implement a tool to make that happen.”

Dawn E., Chief of Customer Experience

  • “This program has been great! I wish I’d had it 20 years ago!”

    Dave R., Communications Division Chief

  • “I really like learning with my triad, and I love the content—I refer to it often. I feel like it’s just the beginning of my journey, but I’m fine with that. It’s a cultural thing, so it takes time. As my role grows, more people want to have coaching conversations with me. The program is better than I expected. I’m implementing it and it’s bearing fruit! What more can you want?”

    Chris V, Group VP

  • “The monthly skill intensives are so meaningful. If they weren’t part of the program, you’d just put it on your resumé and walk away from it. We circle back, have a more focused discussion, and that helps. The model is a process, and flowing with it comes with practice. You can’t read about it and turn around and do it. It’s one thing to enjoy training—it’s different to actually practice something, test it, and see the results. It’s a feedback loop that is reinforcing. I’m getting better, and I have results to back that up!”

How You Can Leverage Your Team’s Talent to Achieve “Impossible” Goals:

Lead

Never be at a loss for words again! Courageously lead robust conversations about accountability, performance goals, uncertain futures, and career development.

Coach

Delegate with conviction, and you’ll get more work off your plate while simultaneously developing your team. Confidently coach team members to build their leadership ability, creativity, self-confidence, awareness, and ability to self-correct.

Manage

When you manage performance well, you’ll get enviable retention rates. We’ll teach you to fully engage and inspire on-site, hybrid, and remote team members alike.

Create

Set an inspiring vision that mobilizes your team’s hidden talent and motivation. Create more leaders in your wake, and you’ll operate at a higher level while growing more capacity for your organization.

Your transformation begins with five days of LIVE training, where you’ll learn from the masters, interact with fellow participants, and get your pressing questions answered immediately. And because we are dedicated to your sustainable success—not just your increased knowledge—when you enroll in Leader of Areté, you’ll also get:

How You’ll Do It

  • During the workshop, you’ll practice the skills you’ve learned under the guidance of masterful coaches (3:1 participant to coach ratio). This is where the magic happens!

  • The magic continues in your post-workshop Triad Sessions. For the next 6 months, you’ll continue to refine skills and get real-time feedback from your coach.

  • After the workshop, you’ll attend six monthly, live 90-minute virtual learning sessions for deepening skills and observing master coaching skills in practice. The camaraderie and invigorating a-ha moments ensure your learning momentum.

  • From the beginning, you’ll enjoy membership in the on-line alumni community. Here, you’ll share on-going lessons, get pop-up questions answered, and connect with fellow Academy of Areté leaders to help you keep going and keep growing!

  • Team members provide anonymous input on the leadership practices you’re learning. With reports produced at the beginning, middle and end of the program, you’ll see your progress over time.

  • Every business day, for 6 months, you’ll receive short notes to keep your new mindset and skill set top of mind. Past participants tell us that this is one of the most helpful aspects of the program.

  • We call this “Rubber Meets the Road” coaching. Your own dedicated coach provides expert feedback and coaching on the day-to-day, real life conversations you’re having with your team. Add these sessions once you’ve registered for the workshop.

    Prepare to EXCEL!

Now, more than ever, the world needs you to tap into the full potential of your team.

It’s time for you to master the skills of empowering your team. It’s not sufficient to just learn how to coach. Or to understand human motivation. Or to create a new vision that you can frame and hang on the walls.

Unfortunately, there’s no simple solution. There’s no book you can buy, TED talk you can watch, or stand-alone workshop you can attend that will enable you to feel confident enough to empower your team. And this is NOT the kind of work that you can outsource!

Read more about why books and other programs are not sufficient, and the four questions you must answer “yes!” to before embarking on this learning journey with us.

We rise to the challenge by:

  • adapting ongoing learning to address your implementation challenges,

  • providing regular, inspiring, thought-provoking nudges that keep new habits top of mind, and

  • partnering you with brilliant coaches to personally guide your learning throughout the program.

Don’t just take our word for it!

The experts agree…

Coaching is a must-have skill for leaders who want to empower their team and enable long-term excellent team performance. Here’s what a few voices at Harvard Business Review say about it:
